The federal government shutdown has ended; the Office of the Secretary will no longer issue marriage licenses. Please visit https://www.dccourts.gov/services/marriage-matters for information regarding the DC Superior Court’s Marriage Bureau. The Office of the Secretary will continue to administer civil ceremonies until December 10, 2025, for couples who have a Marriage License issued by the Office of the Secretary of the District of Columbia. Arrests Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 1200 Block of I Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, August 31, 2019, in the 1200 block of I Street, Southeast.

At approximately 6:10 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and fired at the victims. The suspects then fled the scene.

Sunday, September 1, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male and a 15 year-old juvenile male, both of Southwest, DC, and were arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
