The Mayor or agencies under the authority of the Mayor issue Mayor’s Memoranda to direct the application or implementation of a policy, announce an action or event, provide guidance, or clarify a previously stated policy or position.

Information for DC Government Agencies: Deadline for Submitting Documents for Publication

The deadline for submitting notices from Agencies, Boards, Commissions, and Public Charter schools is Thursday at noon of the previous week. Once an agency meets the Thursday noon deadline, ODAI publishes the notice on the Friday of the following week. For example, ODAI publishes a notice received by noon on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the Friday, June 9, 2017 edition of the D.C. Register. The deadline for the DC Council is Wednesday at noon of the same week of publication.

The deadline for a Register to be published during a week that contains an official District of Columbia holiday, is noon on the Wednesday of the previous week. Because Tuesday, July 4, 2017, Independence Day is an official District of Columbia holiday, the deadline for the Friday, July 7, 2017 District of Columbia Register is Wednesday, noon on June 28, 2017. The deadline for the DC Council is Tuesday at noon of the same week.

If an official government holiday falls on a Thursday, the deadline for submitting documents is Wednesday. For example, the deadline for the November 24, 2017 District of Columbia Register is Wednesday, November 15, 2017 because Thursday, November 23, 2017 is Thanksgiving Day.

Submitting notices for publication:

If your agency or public charter school requires login access to submit notices at www.dcregs.dc.gov, the agency director, general counsel, or head of school must send a request to [email protected] with the name, email address and phone number of the individual authorized to submit notices on the agency’s or school’s behalf.
