Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Wrench) Offense: 4100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Wrench) offense that occurred on Saturday, August 31, 2019, in the 4100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest.

 

At approximately 2:29 am, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a wrench and struck the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

 

On Saturday, August 31, 2019, 58-year-old Robert Spalding, of Kensington, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Wrench).
