Victor L. Reid, Esq. is a Ward 4 resident with over 20 years of legal experience in regulatory oversight, corporate transactions and strategic counseling. Reid holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Morehouse College and a Juris Doctor degree from the Howard University School of Law. His experience includes working with the law firms of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Hogan & Hartson LLP and Arnold & Porter LLP. He also has worked for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Reid started his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Harold L. Cushenberry, Jr., associate judge, Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

The Office of the Secretary will continue to administer civil ceremonies until December 10, 2025, for couples who have a Marriage License issued by the Office of the Secretary of the District of Columbia.
