Clarence Davis is a Ward 4 resident with more than 35 years of professional experience. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Memorial University and a Master of Arts degree from the University of the District of Columbia. He has served as an adjunct professor of history at the University of the District of Columbia where he taught the History of the District of Columbia. Davis currently serves as the Public Records Administrator and Historian of the District of Columbia. As the public records administrator, Davis was appointed chairman of the District of Columbia Historical Records Advisory Board and the state records coordinator for the District of Columbia. He was appointed consulting archivist for the Detroit Public Schools from 2009-2011.
